You Sunk My Battleship!
Our neighbours over the road had a clear out yesterday and being Northern I didn't like to see good stuff being thrown in the tip. I am now, therefore, the new owner of 2 bikes, a tent, a box of lego, a box of brio train stuff, assorted jigsaws and board games. Most of this booty will be on its way to school/YMCA etc but I digress....
One of the rescued games was "Battleships", of course - unlike the version I used to play this was the electronic version (batteries not included). So, Elliot and I enjoyed a father/son moment and went to battle. E's carefully crafted ruses to distract my attention so he could sneak a peak at my fleet were wasted as he couldn't correlate that information back to his grid. Having said that, he still beat me.
If you feel nostalgic, I found a this version on-line (no batteries required).
