Welcome to the Hotel Connecticut

Doesn't roll of the tongue quite so easily does it? I think The Eagles made a wise choice going with California. It's not really a valid excuse but I'm going to blame my month long absence from this column on the fact that we've had friends and family staying with us from mid-October through (as my American friends would say) the end of November. What's more, this week Jo returned to England for her sister's wedding. The kids' energy and my general lack of organisation are not a good combination so I've been in survival mode. How I miss my wife!

Anyway, I'm back now and at this precise moment in time haven't much to say. Perhaps I'd better go and get the house ship-shape before Jo gets back tomorrow :-)
